Do Good 38 Rich Zimmerman (Orangutan Outreach) on his mission to save an endangered species

In this episode, I had a fascinating conversation with Rich Zimmerman, the Executive Director of Orangutan Outreach, whose mission is to save critically endangered orangutans and protect their rainforest home. Rich has had unconditional love for orangutans ever since he was a child growing up in southern California, and after a trip to Indonesia in 2006 he felt deep in his heart that he had to do some to protect these animals. Especially after hearing that six football-sized fields of rainforest a minute where being destroyed just for oil palm consumption. Using his experience from working at UNICEF in NYC and several orangutan conservation organisations, he has helped save the lives of thousands of orangutans through is many outreach programs across Indonesia.
