Compare two perennial contenders from last decade: the Blazers and the Raptors. The raptors fired the reigning coach of the year Dwane Casey and broke up Lowry and franchise cornerstone DeRozan back in 2018 when they couldnt get it done in the playoffs, even though the team had just secured the east's #1 seed. Let's not forget how risky those moves were. Masai was willing to take big risks and swing for the fences, and THAT'S WHY THE RAPTORS WALKED AWAY FROM THEIR PLAYOFF STREAK AS CHAMPIONS AND PORTLAND DIDN'T. You gotta take risks in this league to win chips. I really think the Sixers want Dame but unless Dame says he wants out Portland not going to trade him. Coming into the 2020-2021 season, the 6ers reshaped their id="hidden13" class="buttons"> starting line-up into Danny Green (3-and-D guy), Seth Curry (great shooter), Tobias Harris (brilliant scorer and good shooter), and Embiid (a guy who shoots very well for a big man).
If it didn't work in Philly, why would it work elsewhere? Even Steph and Klay needed Draymond to occasionally take open shots. Hell, they went ahead and got Durant precisely because they felt they needed one more unstoppable scorer/shooter to make the game truly unfair.
Teams aren't excited about Simmons because unlike with "bad" shooters such as Russ and Draymond, Simmons' unprecedented reticence means they will have to improve his jumper to make him useful. They can't just deal with it and allow him to compensate in other ways. No one wants that burden.
Around the league, all these organizations are thinking the same thing: "Philly had him for several years and couldn't get him to improve. Why should we think we can do any better?"
I think the Spurs is the best destination for him, and only if he listens to Pop and allows the trainers and coaches to mold him. They fixed Tony Parker and Kawhi. Maybe they can fix Ben too? ....وسعت 2

Hes in his late 20’s so its more of a win now move and simmons is worth more but it woulda been the best they could do without moving other stuff and still staying competitive while sending simmons somewhere where he can thrive now there stuck and gotta take what other teams will get ....وسعت

Let's look at these 2 trade scenarios though for these teams. For Cleveland, it's pretty simple, Sexton and Love plus maybe anoter guy like Cedi plus a ton of picks for Ben. Minnesota is a little more interesting though. You'd figure, Beasley and Prince would be starting points plus picks, but I think only way Philly sends him out there is if Edwards is involved in some way. I could see that happening if Philly threw in Thybulle as well, which him + Ben + Pat Bev would instantly turn Minnesota's defensive woe's around. ....وسعت 2

For example, is D'Angelo Russell, Malik id="hidden27" class="buttons"> Beasley, and Jaden McDaniels a perfect return? No. But I think it would make both teams better. Russell and Beasley aren't amazing, but they enable Philly to surround Embiid with a ton of shooting at all times. And Embiid can offset some of their defensive issues. Meanwhile, McDaniels is a nice upside player who can replace some of Ben's minutes at the 4. Or you can flip him to another team for something≥
Now to be clear, I've heard the Wolves don't want to give up Russell. But they should. I don't care how close Towns is to Russell. He's going to be a lot happier if he's winning with Edwards and Simmons than losing with his friend. ....وسعت 1
