These six were living under our tea-house. I had to take this video through the glass of our French windows on Zoom. Hard job with a little digital camera. As we didn't go into the garden any time they were out. "We avoided making friends with them." Our first sight of them was at the end of March. The first two left around 17th May, another on 22nd May and the last three 24th May. This is apparently quite early for cubs. "Experts" told me we would have them until July. They developed at different rates, so they ended up three different sizes. I guess this is natural, so the mother doesn't have to have them all leaving at the same time. She was a very good mother, coming back to them several times every day. We left a can of cat food out for them every night, as I didn't think she could have found enough to feed herself and all six. To leave our garden they have to get over a 6ft fence, by jumping onto the top of an ornamental Japanese lantern and then on to the fence. Edit 30/6/2017 They've not been back since they left, which is usual although they have been seen by several neighbours from time to time. Last week a neighbour saw two in her garden, playing. One had a ball in its mouth..the other a sausage!
