Arabic countries have many styles of music and also many dialects ; each country has its own traditional music , Arabic music has a long history of interaction with many other regional musical styles and genres . It represents the music of all the peoples that make up the Arab world today , all the 22 states . #Turkish_music includes mainly Turkish elements as well as partial influences ranging from Central Asian folk music, Arabic music, Greek music, Ottoman music, Persian music and Balkan music, as well as references to more modern European and American popular music. Turkey is a country on the northeastern shore of the Mediterranean Sea, and is a crossroad of cultures from across Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, the Caucasus and South and Central Asia Beat In music and music theory, the beat is the basic unit of time, the pulse (regularly repeating event), of the mensural level (or beat level). #Oud is a short-neck lute-type, pear-shaped stringed instrument (a chordophone in the Hornbostel- Sachs classification of instruments) with 11 or 13 strings grouped in 5 or 6 courses, commonly used predominantly in the music of the Western Asia and North Africa, including #Saudi_Arabia, #Syria, #Egypt, #Lebanon, #Iraq, #Palestine, #Kuwait, #Kurdistan, #Yemen, #Iran, #Sudan, #Armenia, #Turkey, Classical, and Andalusian classic music. #Buzuq also transliterated bozuq, bouzouk, buzuk is a long-necked fretted lute related to the Greek bouzouki and Turkish saz. It is an essential instrument in the Rahbani repertoire, but it is not classified among the classical instruments of Arab or Turkish music. However, this instrument may be looked upon as a larger and deeper-toned relative of the saz, to which it could be compared in the same way as the viola to the violin in Western music. Before the Rahbanis popularized the use of this instrument, the buzuq had been associated with the music of Lebanon and Syria. #Qanoon or Kanoon is a string instrument played either solo, or more often as part of an ensemble, in much of the Middle East, Maghreb, West Africa, Central Asia, and southeastern regions of Europe. The name derives from the Arabic word qanun, meaning "rule, law, norm, principle", which is borrowed from the ancient Greek word and musical instrument Kavóv (rule), which in Latin was called canon (not to be confused with the European polyphonic musical style and composition technique known by the same name). Traditional and Classical musics executed on the qanun are based on Maqamat or Makamlar. Qanun is thought to trace its origins to Ancient Greece, developed by the Pythagoreans in the 6th century BC, however may have originated since Minoan or Mycenaean times between 3000BC and 1600BC. The instrument is a type of large zither with a thin trapezoidal soundboard that is famous for its unique melodramatic sound. #Clarinet family is a musical instrument family including the well-known Bb clarinet, the bass clarinet, the slightly less familiar Eb and A clarinets. #Duduk is an ancient Armenian double reed woodwind instrument made of apricot wood, It is indigenous to Armenia, Variations of the Armenian Duduk are found in other regions of the Caucasus and the Middle East including Azerbaijan, Georgia, Russia, Turkey and Iran, It is commonly played in pairs: while the first player plays the melody, the second plays a steady drone called dum, and the sound of the two instruments together creates a richer, more haunting sound. An instrumental is a musical composition or recording without lyrics, or singing, although it might include some inarticulate vocal input; the music is primarily or exclusively produced by musical instruments.
