Arrive at Anfield: Liverpool beat Tottenham signing move for£30m-rated midfielder, he arrive today

Premier League outfits Liverpool, Aston Villa, Leeds United and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in securing the services of Sampdoria’s Mikkel Damsgaard, according to the reports. The 21-year-old playmaker was a standout performer for Denmark at Euro 2020, founding back of the net twice in five games, including a stunning free-kick against England in the semi-finals. According to Sportmediaset, the four English top-flight teams as well as Juve and Barcelona have all expressed their interest in Damsgaard. Sampdoria are aware of the interest in the playmaker and are willing to accept any offers in the region on £30m. The Italian outfit only signed Damsgaard from Danish side FC Nordsjaelland earlier in July 2020 for around £5.7m, however, his sale this summer could help enhance their transfer budget. Damsgaard, who has three years left on his current deal, made 35 Serie A appearances last campaign, scoring two goals and providing four assists in the process.
