► Have you heard about the crypt melt? Yes its a thing, Crypts usually melt when adopting to new water parameters or transforming from emersed to submersed state.
Simple but effective technique to avoid cryptocoryne melt is to cut off all the leafs prior to planting in your aquarium. What is not there, cannot melt, simple huh ;) Other positive side effect are that the new leafs are very compact and intense colored.
But don't do this with Cryptocoryne parva, it doesn't melt like others and doesn't like the cut back.
