The Jack Forest - Kurunegala - Sri Lanka

This is a plantation initiated by one of the Late Prime Ministers in Sri Lanka. The Jack tree is known as a Rice Tree ( Bath Gasa in Sinhalese ) as it provides many fruits for poor villagers. Jack Curry is considered a 'full meal' among sri lankans and they respect this tree as a source of many edible parts. if you visit sri lanka, dont forget to taste the authentic Jack Fruit Curry and Steamed Jack Fruit with Coconut Sambol :)
