Bon Jovi | Legendary Concert at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza | 10th Anniversary | Milan 2013

An "Else Tear Production" in cooperation with Thierry1982, this concert was what I consider to have been the last giant one! After Richie's departure earlier that year, Jon visibly was knackered and had to overwork his vocals very much which lead to an unhealthy decline as the year progressed. Even though Munich had clocked at a similar running time 5 weeks prior to this, I rate this one higher, only for the more interesting setlist choice. The one that went head-to-head with this is Cologne in my book, because it was the first one where all the unexpected songs kept showing up and I feel it had a better pacing since they were spread out more across the entire night. This one had the standard tour main set and then Bon Jovi came back to hammer in goodie after goodie. The encore certainly was stellar here! And Phil X played his ass off with Jon later stating "he had steam coming out of his head for all the songs I urged him to learn". The video was really good, but pretty dark, so I carefully readjusted certain contrast levels to give it more detail and to raise the colours to a more interesting level. The sound was remastered from scratch since it was good, but low and not really clear. One thing came to light which was a problem throughout the tour: A new set of sound engineers were doing that tour and the sound rarely was pleasantly mixed. Phil's different guitar tone often lead to a loss of balance, quite noticably here in Bad Medicine. It evens out more in the encore. Audio and video remastered! Setlist: 01. Intro [0:00] 02.
