This is probably one of the best trucks I've ever filmed. Upon the discovery of two brand new compressed natural gas powered trucks in MCSD's fleet, I made it an immediate goal to film their older diesel trucks. The video takes place on two separate filming days. On the first day I found two trucks - one in the early morning and one later on towards 12 noon. This truck is the second one I found. Which is a newer Heil Rapid Rail body mounted on an older Autocar WX64 chassis. Trucks T-56, T-57, and T-59 all previously had older McNeilus AutoReach bodies on them until 2010. The driver was very nice and always smiled at the camera when he got a chance. You'll see him finishing the trash on his Friday route route. The second day was an adventure with Mike (3amrepmike3) on a route, also on Friday, that had us driving from one neighborhood to another. Since my camera's lens finally took a dump on me, I ended up using a spare which doesn't have much quality compared to my normal one. We started filming T-56, and then T-59 came in to give some help. All of MCSD's trucks work together to get recycling done in the early morning, and then head back to their normal routes to pick up the trash. My assumption is that the trucks are cleaned out at the end of each day so that the recyclables aren't ruined by residue given off by the trash the following morning. It was very hot that day and I also couldn't keep up with the driver. -Trash filmed on September 12th, 2014 with a Sony DSC-HX50V -Recycling filmed on October 3rd, 2014 with a Panasonic DMC TS25 -Filmed in Westminster, CA © 2014 Sanitation94 Videos Flickr: "Sanitation94 Photography" Instagram: @sanitation94
