Fishing With The OKUMA CELILO Ultralight Rod [First Impressions]

I have heard a lot of good things about this budget-friendly ultralight fishing rod so I decided to pick one up for myself. In today's video, I catch a bunch of fish on my new Okuma Celilo 6'6 ultralight & share my honest opinion on how good this rod is for ultralight fishing. I was not sure what to expect, but after several fish, I determined that it is a very solid setup for the price! It certainly performs better than I expected it to. It is pretty "whippy" but not so much that I can't detect bites. I was able to cast a light 1/64oz Mule Jig plenty far as well. The components are clearly low quality but that doesn't necessarily mean they are bad. It simply means that they are not intended for "high performance" fishing usage. Based on all of the reviews and my discussions with other anglers, this rod will last the test of time. I think you can't go wrong if you are looking for a rod that gets you on the water and you don't necessarily care about the aesthetics/appearance of your equipment.
