The castaways and their loved ones are hooked together and attached to the end of a rope. The castaways and their loved ones have to untangle certain areas of the rope in order to progress through. The first pair to reach the end of the rope would win Reward. Reward: The winner chooses two other castaways (along with their loved ones) to go on a picnic. Challenge: Connecting With Loved Ones Winner: Kat Edorsson (shared with Alicia Rosa and Kim Spradlin) Night 30 The women are relieved to have voted out Troyzan, and with Tarzan being the last man standing but not much of a threat, they start to consider which woman to vote out first. Alicia in particular noticed that Christina isn't particularly competent in Tribal Council, possibly translating to an easy victory if anyone took Christina to the end. Sabrina on the other hand has been very eloquent, which makes her a threat in Alicia's mind. Alicia remains in belief that she is controlling the game, despite the position Kim and Chelsea are in within the girls alliance. Day 31 The Tikiano tribe receives a Sprint smart phone in treemail, containing video messages from each of their loved ones. Most notably, the health of Christina's father as well as Tarzan's marriage with his wife become topics of conversation. Sabrina feels that if anyone gets an opportunity to take people on a reward, they should take Christina and Tarzan. Kat on the other hand is more focused on going on a reward after Kim deciding not to choose her previously. Kat won the Reward Challenge and took Kim and Alicia on reward. That decision did not sit well with Chelsea and Sabrina, who thought Christina and Tarzan deserved to spend time with their loved ones. At the reward, Kat enjoys the time with her closest friends in the game. Meanwhile, Kim and Alicia talk to their loved ones about their position in the game, each believing to be on course to make it to the end. The castaways and their loved ones would be tethered together and competed on a similar obstacle as used in the first round in Heroes vs. Villains. Kat Edorsson and her cousin Robby barely beat out Kim Spradlin and her sister Beth to win reward. Trivia The following trivia counts the Heroes vs. Villains iteration of the challenge as a win for all members of the winning tribe, despite only one member winning immunity. Adam Klein, Coach Wade, Danni Boatwright, David Wright, J.T. Thomas, Kim Spradlin-Wolfe, Nick Wilson, Parvati Shallow, Rob Mariano, and Tyson Apostol have all competed in this challenge at least twice. Tyson has competed in it three times. He won twice and lost once. Coach, Parvati, and Rob have won once and lost once. Rob also won the immunity portion of the Heroes vs. Villains challenge. All others lost this challenge both times.
