Scripture Reading: Luke 10. Miracles and Parables

We are currently reading from the book of Luke. Luke describes many things that happened during Jesus' time here on earth, including the many miracles that he performed and His teachings. Luke himself was a physician and must have marveled at the healings that Jesus performed to such an extent that he felt compelled to write them down with accuracy. Luke affirms Jesus' divinity, but also emphasizes Jesus' humanity - Jesus, the Son of God, is also the Son of Man. In Luke 10 Jesus appoint 72 of his followers to every town and place to heal the sick and tell them that the Kingdom of God has come near. He also tells the Parable of the Good Samaritan.
