@
@SecretNerdChickمنذ 3 سنواتI think this video is really great for highlighting how much Mike and Brian had going against them. And yet, despite all the garbage they had to endure id="hidden27" class="buttons"> they made such an amazing show. From the phenomenal music upgrade, to the realism it brought to the struggles of being the avatar during times of technological growth, to the amazing character growth of many of the main characters, Korra delves deeper into the villains and the avatar like we never saw in ATLA. Even people who love Korra more than ATLA (like me) can recognize the downfalls of the show. But what I think is crazy about the ATLA fan base is how hypocritical they are about Korra and its flaws vs. ATLA and its flaws (which do exist). Let me provide you an example, people give so much shit to Korra for kissing Mako while he was with Asami. Yes, that was wrong in every way and yes, the lack of consequences for doing so is problematic. Yet where are the same level of hate comments on Aang for forcing a kiss with Katara when she explicitly stated she was confused about the state of her feelings for him during a time of war (with zero consequences for doing so might I add)…if you’re one of those people who said it’s different because he’s 12 and she’s 16? You’ve made it clear you’re part of the misogynistic culture of giving 12 year old boys a pass simply because he’s a male and he’s got a bubbly personality vs. the 16 year old girl who is just going through her teenage girl stages like any human would and yet gets 10x more shit for it. Another one? Being critical of Korra’s villains for not having fleshed out backstory’s (which is especially understandable for Unalaq and Kuvira who got the budget slashed for the episode that was to be her backstory) when Ozai was explored from multiple different characters perspectives for three consecutive seasons and yet fell flat on its face for being the most one dimensional character with no good reason for the continuous destruction of people and other nations apart from a power grab. As an avid lover of both shows and the universe as a whole, both shows are phenomenal for what each brings to the table, but for the love of God people need to open their eyes and recognize they do not hold ATLA accountable for the “lows” that exist in the show, just as they do for Korra. ....وسعت5

@xoreignمنذ 3 سنواتThe original is about a normal person learning to become the avatar. Korra has so many new ideas and themes going on that expand the greater universe in new and very interesting ways.
