‘Make up your mind’: Albanese ‘entirely inconsistent’ with Israeli-Hamas conflict

Liberal Senator Dave Sharma says Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is being “entirely inconsistent” with the Israeli-Hamas conflict. Mr Sharma criticised Australia’s position to vote in favour of an immediate ceasefire at the United Nations General Assembly. “The US voted against it, Britain abstained on it, Germany abstained on it – but we voted for it,” he told Sky News Australia. “That resolution calls for an immediate ceasefire which would leave Hamas in place, which would stop Israeli military operations to destroy tunnels and stop Israeli military operations to capture Hamas’ senior leadership. “The end result of that would be Hamas remains in political power in Gaza. “We've got the Prime Minister saying again and again that Hamas can play on future role in power … make up your mind.”
