So, the coaster community was aware of some late 1940s Shooting Star footage. The film "Greetings from Coney Island" had some film segments that were well known around the coaster community. However there had been some other pieces of film that had been floating around in news reports, and contemporary news pieces. Using the various sources, one can fully understand how wild this coaster really was!

The ride is a mirror image of the Shooting Star and loosely based on the original Shooting Star from Coney.
