There was a couple who lived in the id="hidden6" class="buttons"> apartment complex on top of the liquor store. They and my mom and uncle were friends. They were also regular customers. My mom and uncle would give them things on credit. They trusted them. One day, the couple was about to move. My mom and uncle didn't know. I'm not sure if the man had a gun, I think he did, but the woman had a knife with her. She bought the knife to my mom's throat. They wanted the cash register. My uncle was by the cash register. My uncle was so pissed at the betrayal and violation that my mom had to plead with him to open the register. He ended up giving them the money in the register and they left. At those times, you couldn't call the cops. They would make the bullshit excuse that if the robbers saw the police, shit would get hectic.
