The Turban Traveller embarks on the Spiritual journey of Guru Nanak Dev ji to yet another gurudwara with historical significance, Gurudwara Rajghat Sahib. The gurudwara as the name says is called after the famous rajghat alongside river Tapti. It is situated in an old walled town in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. Located on the banks of the Tapti River, Burhanpur was visited by both Guru Nanak Dev ji and Guru Gobind Singh ji. The city is surrounded by rampart and has several huge gates. It was once the capital during the Mughals (Akbar) rule in India. Burhanpur also holds the history of the incident when Shah Jahan lost his beloved & favourite wife Mumtaz Mahal and her body was buried at first in the Garden of Zainabad, across the river Tapti.
