Copyright Disclaimer Under Section 107 of the Copyright Act 1976, allowance is made for fair use for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching, scholarship, and research. Fair use is a use permitted by copyright statute that might otherwise be infringing. Non-profit, educational or personal use tips the balance in favour of fair use. This jukebox was made in 1976. It has spent more than half its life in private hands, nearly fifteen of them in mine. It's in excellent condition for its age. Although I managed to get a "new old stock" Monet graphic as the original like most, had gone very "blue." All it needed when I bought it was a good clean and a "lube job." The carousel contains 30 x 50s/60s Pop, 30x 70/80s Pop, 10 x Doo-Wop and 10 classic Standards. A total of 80, 45s. The other jukebox is a 1969 Rock-Ola 443. This has a similar history to the other one. The chrome is un-pitted, though the anodised trim could do with a buff up but I can't be bothered. I re-made the graphic from A4 sheets of coloured and frosted acetate and obtained a "new old stock" record card insert, (that round thing),as they too, had gone mostly blue. So it's almost immaculate and in perfect working order. This contains 50 X Motown, similar and R&B records. It has a disproportionate representation of the lesser well known girl groups of the sixties, but that's a personal choice. I've a lot of more well known 45s, in the "retro" record rack. I occasionally ring the changes. These machines live in our summerhouse at the bottom of the garden, I've too much audio and musical "stuff" in my den....alright...our front room, for either of them. I play them a lot when I'm gardening. They have 60w heaters (that cylindrical white thing at the front of the box) and rechargeable dehumidifiers in them. They have insulated covers for the cold months, though I "turn them over" a few times every week. "Use, is the best form of preventative maintenance." The record playing is two years older than the jukebox, so it can be forgiven for sounding a bit scratched, it's accentuated when the camera was close to the tweeter to the left of the graphic. You don't notice the scratches once it gets going. People of my age may remember it and possibly now, younger generations, as it was used a few months ago in a TV commercial many times over a few weeks, for a product of which I've now no memory at all. There's marketing for you.
