Air Hogs Wind Flyers PART #3 Does it fly SUPERCAPACITOR LONG VIDEO. The sharp eyed will notice my camera tripod slowly tilts during filming and near the end I appear to be leaning significantly. The clue is the flying field is actually a slope so the ground should slope and I should be vertical. I have tried to adjust this in editing but it is still noticeable to me. The plane is an Air Hogs Wind Flyers. Originally it had a 1.2 volt NiMH battery pack and charge controller onboard but I am pretty sure I cooked that by using too much power with the charger batteries I rigged up so I have removed all those components and just connected a 2.7 volt 10 Farad supercapacitor straight across the motor. The technique is to connect a battery straight across the supercapacitor and listen to the motor as it spins up. It slowly increases in RPM until the capacitor is as fully charged as it can be and then you launch the plane immediately.
