The Hybrid Body Chimera - Custom Guitar Build - Part 4: Carving and Routing

This is the fourth episode in a 7 part series on the making of this custom guitar. This is a design that I have named the Chimera, and it is entirely my own design. I decided to try some new things with this build such as creating a hybrid 2-piece body with two different types of wood and a curving joint, different inlay materials than I have used before, and a multi color stain. This episode covers the body carve and routing the neck and pickup cavities. The top is both Walnut and Zebrawood, the neck is 3 piece Pau Ferro, the rest of the body is Sapele, and the fretboard is Sabah Ebony. The pickups are the Devin Townsend signature set of Fishman Fluence pickups. Hardware: Shcaller Hardtail bridge, Hipshot locking tuners, nickel silver frets.
