Construction - Foundation Puja (घर को जग पुजा) | मगर समुदाय Magar Buddha Bhikchhu-Waapaa

This VDO depicts the मगर समुदाय #Buddha Jag Puja for #House Construction #foundation. According to rituals and long been accepted myths, this event is an important one before first blood on the ground. For young and youths it may look quite a waste of time and not necessary. But house construction in itself is an activity that is decided only by elders so their beliefs dominates. Countries like China, Japan, Korea, Thailand, Myanmar and Germany are also full of Buddhist community. They must also be having similar rituals. If you come across to know about ours in Nepal, please do share. We had to wait at least 6 months for this day because the astrology and calendar book of rituals did not see any date nearby when we first sought for the most ominous date. It was important and it gave us all the sense of mental freedom to have done this little puja for good. This one in particular is being performed in Buddhist style of Magar community in Kathmandu, Nepal. Other communities and religious beliefs have their own way of performing the same kind of puja in almost similar but still different way.
