A sequel to the popular and critically acclaimed CI5: The Professionals (yes, the videos about the cars used in The Professionals have already been released), The New Professionals was made by David Wickes' DWTV production company and filmed in around 1998. This independent production was based at the now closed Teddington Studios, the original home of The Avengers from 1961 to 1964, and was broadcast in the UK on Sky One in late 1999. Starring Colin Wells as Sam Curtis, Kal Weber as Chris Keel, Edward Woodward as Harry Malone and Lexa Doig as Tina Backus, The New Professionals imagined a world where CI5 had become a global organisation to protect innocent people from all kinds of violence and terrorism. Filmed in the United Kingdom, South Africa and the United States, 13 episodes were made, and there was only one series ever broadcast. Be prepared for complaints about fake plates for filming, rejection of the series by all the major UK networks, lots of love for the incredible Adrian Irvine, who played the semi-regular character Spencer on the show and inadequate information about American cars...
