Under this, the benefit of free health insurance will also be given to contractors and small and marginal farmers working in all departments of the state with 1 crore 10 lakh households of National Food Security Act and Socio Economic Census 2011. Other families of the state will be able to join the scheme at a premium of Rs. 850 per annum. Mehta said that the scheme will provide insurance cover of Rs. 50 thousand for identified diseases and Rs. 4 lakh 50 thousand per annum for serious diseases. 1 thousand 576 packages of various ailments have been included. Beneficiary families can avail free treatment in private and government hospitals associated with the scheme. The medical expenses of the patient are included in the free package five days before the hospitalization and fifteen days of discharge. The District collector informed that under the scheme, contract personnel, small and marginal farmers and other categories of families will be required to register. The registration will commence from 1st April. The beneficiaries will be able to register themselves online or e-Mitra from the centre. Registration camps will also be organized in rural and urban areas from 1st to 10th April. He said that eligible families of the National Food Security Scheme and socio-economic census need not be enrolled. For registration, receipt of registration of Bhamasshah or Jan Aadhar card or Jan Aadhaar card number or public Aadhaar and Aadhaar card is required. The fee for depositing the premium will be Rs. 20 for the application and Rs. 10. The district collector said that camps should be earmarked in each sub-division area and have wide publicity.
