Kachalu Chaat / Kachaloo Chat is a famous Pakistani & Indian street food. This Spicy, tangy and yummy Kachalu chaat is originally a delicacy of Old Delhi. Basically Chat is referred to a savory tangy snack served usually as a street food. Kachalu Chaat recipe is made with boiled Kachalus (Colocasia Esculenta - a root vegetable most commonly known as Taro) & unlike other Chaat, this has only and only Kachalu with lots of spices. This is simple to make and delicious to eat.
How to boil Kachalu (Taro):
For this recipe you need boiled Kachalu but it should be firm and not overdone. To avoid getting too much soft boil it in a vessel instead of a pressure cooker. Boil water in a vessel, add Kachalu and let them boil. It takes almost half an hour. Once done, take out from the water and let them cool.
