Here is a 1958 Buick Limited convertible. This is a very rare car all totally original. Is currently in the Tune Up Shop in Costa Mesa California for some minor repairs. We are making the throttle activated starter switch functional and overhauling the numbers matching carburetor. It will be perfect when we are finished. Directly following our repair it will be in the Balboa Island Parade.

@fob1xxlمنذ 4 سنوات As a kid of 13, when I first saw this car in the showroom I went crazy ! At the time it was unbelievable. No car had as much chrome on it as this one. id="hidden3" class="buttons"> It was a one of a kind ! Still quite beautiful ! Cars during this period were all steel. No fiberglass, or aluminum. They weighed a ton, but were solid ! It was during Detroit's hey day . ....وسعت 9

@stephenphillip5656منذ 5 سنوات Beautiful. the expression of 1950s American industrial and social confidence in steel and chrome.
I love this era of automobile art- this definitely id="hidden4" class="buttons"> would not fit in my garage but I'm more than glad to admire it from afar (UK).

@michaelcerza871منذ 10 سنوات General Motors elegance comes shinning through on this baby.  What a beautiful Buick and a spectacular color to show it off with.  They have been labeled as chrome overkill, but in the Limited edition the side chrome is minimal and provides a beauty of lines to this wonderful car. ....وسعت 3

@ZZZZ-wz4ueمنذ 10 سنوات Yes the bean pod like cars of styling in colors of your choice today of either black, silver or white, is a complete and opposite departure from this era id="hidden13" class="buttons"> of form & function.  To appreciate this era and truly appreciate this car is to fully understand it as an art form of craftsmanship. Excessive . compared to what and in what measure? This car is in this day and age of monolithic monotones, for today an almost incomprehensible manifestation of creative unique possibilities of open minded styling and function should be viewed and appreciated as such. ....وسعت 2

@MrGTO-ze7vbمنذ 5 سنوات This Buick Limited has the MOST Chrome than any other GM or maybe any American Auto ever built. I purchased a highly optioned 2 dr Limited coupe from Pick id="hidden14" class="buttons"> and Pull in Stockton CA back in 1988. All it needed was a new radiator and battery..!! All the Buick collectors went crazy for it after an add in Hemmings MN. ....وسعت 3

@ZZZZ-wz4ueمنذ 8 سنوات Good for you but apparently so have I. Did my first one in 1964 as well. Have owned over 5 different 1957 Buicks since then and own 2 1957 Roadmasters id="hidden19" class="buttons"> today. It is a matter of course of disassembly, cleaning and sourcing parts if and when needed. But quite frankly, it is the old grease and the moisture that causes most of the problems. But now, let us not condemn the fine Buick engineers for the drum instead of the needle. Cheers ....وسعت 2

@edwardwilliams2438قبل 9 أشهر How much chrome does a car need? Those fins are super.you could shave with those beauties. What is the curb weight of this monster? Too bad there were no engine shots..all in all.Stellar!

@DetroitLove4Uمنذ 11 سنوات If I understood correctly the 1958 Buick Limited sported the most chrome ever apparent to any pristine auto body to come out of Detroit. 8

@MrDBarchمنذ 5 سنوات yah, this one IS purty indeed! wow. 1958 and 1959 were VERY good years for buick. they were doing a LOT of future prototypes in those two years and used id="hidden26" class="buttons"> much of those designs into production models, ths one especially. The Buick Y 1938 driven by harley earl, and then he drove the 1959 torpedo prototype buick, that silver one, the ONLY one that exists in 1959. Although, I think the whitewall tires are incorrect to factory. I THINK, may be wrong,m but pretty sure that the widewalls were used on models before 1960, even the 1959 silver torpedo prototype that we all know about has the wide wall whites. this model here has black between the rim and the white wall, and i don't think they were put out by the factory that way . it MAY have been an option, or it MAY have been tires OF THE PERIOD that could be pout ON the car, but right out of the factory im pretty sure the white walls were wider, and showed no black between them and the rim. someone correct me if im wrong, cus if i am, i want to know!!! cheers ....وسعت

@1940limitedمنذ 10 سنوات Excuse me, but the speedometer's broken and it's a nightmare to fix. The whole dashboard has to come apart. Those redliners were notoriously inaccurate id="hidden27" class="buttons"> and broke frequently. It still has Flight Pitch Dyna-Flow which is OK as long as nothing goes wrong with it. It's impossible to get parts for them today.  ....وسعت 2
