http://askthetrainer.com/best-exercise-ball.html Standing up from the Supine bridge position is an advanced exercise which works your quadriceps and requires great core strength, stability and good overall flexibility. If you have a training partner you can have them hold a stability ball steady while you perform the exercise. If you have the BOSU Ballast ball as you see here, you can perform the exercise by yourself as the ballast material inside the ball that weighs it down and will hold it steady. Start from a stability ball bridge position with your upper back, shoulders and head resting on the ball. Make sure your legs are in around a 90 degree angle with your feet flat on the ground. Take a deep breath and tighten your core as you contract your quadriceps and stand up all the way until you are upright. Exhale and take another deep breath as you lower yourself backwards slowly into the original position and repeat. This is just an example of creative exercise you can do for your core. Follow it up with some crunches on the ball to isolate your abdominals. Do not perform this exercise if you have a bad back or knees as it can be stressful. Also remember, ab exercises will not burn the fat off your mid section. If you want to tone your abdominals it is best to perform full body resistance training workouts in a complete program with cardio and a healthy, balanced, low calorie diet. A complete training program is the key to achieving the best results. http://askthetrainer.com
