@mab9614منذ 3 سنوات When I first visited America with my girlfriend (she’s Finnish), we visited a town in upstate NY. A girl asked my girlfriend where did she come from, and my girl replied, “Finland.”
She had that puzzling look, and then she replied:
“Where is Finland? Which state does it belong to?”
If education is ranked as the least important, then I should expect to hear this more often.

@rattatouilletheratمنذ 3 سنوات Ethan, California approved of its first draft congressional map, and it’s now up on 538’s redistricting tracker. Please make a video about it soon. 37

@MrFancyDragonمنذ 3 سنوات I like how they do this in a single vote system instead of a ranked choice system.
I’m fairly certain if it ain’t the first, then it’s most likely second or even third. It’s kind of the flaw of that system.
Education SHOULD be one of the most important issues out there, but this is really concerning

@JohnDoe-jh5yrمنذ 3 سنوات When you're talking about "education" as an issue, you absolutely have to be more specific. In some circles, it's nothing more than CRT, id="hidden4" class="buttons"> which has NOTHING to do with actual education! Maybe some parents are concerned about school policies, but dig deeper on CRT, you realize it isn't taught in any K-12 schools. ....وسعت 10

@harvbegal6868منذ 3 سنوات Which is sad because education is in real need of an overhaul. Its pretty much still stuck in the "educate for factory work" mode. 3

@PremierCCGuyMMXVIمنذ 3 سنوات While this may not be an important issue. It was a top issue in the Virginia Gubernatorial contest and an issue Youngkin and Republicans won huge on. So id="hidden5" class="buttons"> Democrats need to do more to divert criticism to them about CRT and also capitalize on the fact that it’s not really being taught in public schools anyway. ....وسعت 26

@teambeardo8816منذ 3 سنوات But this is a flawed survey type, I guarantee a lot of people would of had education in top 3 or 5 issues, just not 1st. 6

@ZydLiamمنذ 3 سنوات Speaking of education, what is everyone’s favorite subject in school? For me I would have to say astronomy as part of science, as well as history 6

@patmacken5130منذ 3 سنوات In 2021 the only races at issue were state level and that has a lot more to do with education and it does immigration foreign policy and several other id="hidden6" class="buttons"> issues as well.
A good use of the education issue is much more likely in 2022 to be for the same kind of races so just state legislative races in school boards

@theyoungcentrist9110منذ 3 سنوات The economy as the top issue doesn’t surprise me because economics can affect everyone’s lives. For instance, there is rising gas prices & rising prices to the point things become way too expensive for Americans. It’s time for the federal government to start implementing contractionary fiscal policy where you either raise taxes or cut government spending to combat inflation within the economy, because if it is left unchecked than people’s money values becomes completely worthless. ....وسعت 1

@Bob33519منذ 3 سنوات Well obviously. With the ongoing economic situation, the pandemic, the climate crisis, and a rising China, I don’t know who has education as their top issue. 2
  • @
@ewangentمنذ 3 سنوات In fairness education in normal times is no one's priority but when it is localised like with the Loudoun Trans county. The GOP can make this an issue more important nationwide but it can never a national issue. 3

@tubularbillمنذ 3 سنوات With high inflation and shortages the economy will be tops like it was in 1980. And the Democrats were annihilated that year….. 3
  • @
@AB-iy3wiمنذ 3 سنوات That’s disappointing. I think school is very important and that we need to focus highly on it. We need to get this CRT out of the system! 1

@damianm-nordhorn116منذ 3 سنوات In a first-past-the-post situation (effectively a two party system), those 3% caring mostly about ed or those x% buying that CRT nonsense may just be enough, when else the country is split almost 50/50.
  • @
@nilnil8411منذ 3 سنوات If education gains more importance GOP is likely to benefit, Dems and liberals were in charge of education policies for most part and should be held accountable for the dismally bad shape it's in now. 1

@ZydLiamمنذ 3 سنوات Question for everyone: What is everyone’s favorite country? 4
  • @
@ct2731منذ 3 سنوات Well that explains how poor our education in the US is if it’s barely any issue considering the conditions we are at rn.
Either way the GOP can use the inflation blame on Biden and relate it to the economy and cutting taxes as a way for the people to lean towards them. Ofc immigration also a stronghold for GOP Bc border is going crazy rn and Kamala is nowhere to be found. She’s traveling everywhere EXCEPT the border. ....وسعت

@michael-sمنذ 3 سنوات CRT means more in local/school board races than it would in national elections. CRT is not something that can be addressed on a congressional level.
  • @
@cascade9844منذ 3 سنوات Well it’s not like R’s has run out of plays in their playbook just because education isn’t a national issue. The economy is considered most important, and guess what: inflation is at a 30 year high, and NO ONE likes inflation. R’s won’t have to drive much of the argument themselves, since literally every American is aware and can feel the effects of inflation every day on their wallet. And tbh, inflation is a better issue to run on than education since it will appeal much better to independents and moderate dems than education/CRT. R’s would be stupid to not run on inflation as the core issue in upcoming elections ....وسعت

@grimaffiliations3671منذ 3 سنوات The main issue was with closures. People didn’t like the extended time away from in person schooling. This ain’t about non existent CRT 11
  • @
@kwskkwsمنذ 3 سنوات I think saying that CRT isn't real because the class named "CRT" is only in law school does not work for even voters who dislike Trump. id="hidden15" class="buttons">
What makes voters abandon Dems is that CRTish thing is actually promoted by woke people and officials, it is just enough for them.

  • @
@GeneralLuigiTBCمنذ 3 سنوات Education's a pretty important issue to me despite my lack of children. Its importance to me works to the GOP's disadvantage, though, as I support id="hidden17" class="buttons"> curricula that the GOP opposes. I want Americans to know the truth about our history, including the darker parts that "patriotic history" curricula would either lie about or flat-out not cover; to me, patriotism is a love of one's country that motivates one to improve it, not deny its flaws. To reduce the spread of STIs and the number of unwanted pregnancies (and thus the number of abortions), I want sex ed to be mandatory and comprehensive. I also want science classes to teach actual science, not unscientific "alternative theories" like "intelligent design" that merely masquerade as science. There's also the matter of funding; I want boosts to public schooling whereas the GOP appears to support greater privatization. ....وسعت 7

@nickd2296منذ 3 سنوات Wow, the Nevada map is really good for the GOP. They can win all the house seats in 2022.
  • @
@mardasman428منذ 3 سنوات The whole Critical Race theory backlash is not an education issue, never has been. It's about identity and fear, the education sphere just happens id="hidden18" class="buttons"> to be the place where it's being fought on.
Therefore I find it entirely logical that the same people who are hugely scared of CRT, mostly do not view themselves as focusing on education.
The CRT issue is an election issue and it will continue to be a very powerful driving factor for the GOP despite these 3% polls!
It's like all those people who say that gun violence is not a major issue for them, but it IS a major issue to them if particular groups of people carry those guns. Polls like these are therefore deceptive.

@thedebate4836منذ 3 سنوات my top issue for 2022 is fear. all the fear that the GOP is pushing is extremely troubling. i mean youngkin said on his first day hes going to ban CRT in schools, like its a real thing being taught.

@jaguargun4547منذ 3 سنوات I agree no one cares about education. Waste of time
  • @
@mnbalfour1985منذ 3 سنوات I think America needs to copy the education systems and school curriculums of Finland and Singapore. Both countries are "top of the class" in id="hidden20" class="buttons"> their educational performance. And before you say "we don't want an education system and curriculum from two socialist banana republics" I can assure you that Finland and Singapore are nothing of the sort. Finland fought two, mostly victorious, wars (in 1940, and 1941-1945) against the Soviet Union to save itself from being wiped off the face of the Earth by Stalin. In recent decades Finland has demonstrated itself to be the least corrupt country in the world, and the most environmentally friendly country in the world. Finland is also a world leader in science and technology, it's basically the Silicon Valley of the sub-arctic. For more than 31 years Singapore was governed by a very strong Prime Minister, Lee Kwan Yew. Lee was a total believer in the free market capitalist economy (he once said during an election campaign "without profit Singapore dies") and took Singapore from third world status to first world status within a generation. ....وسعت
