UCR UPDATE: 1985 Proton Saga Meets Khalid's Rare Autoparts Treasure Trove FOUND |

TALK about a chance encounter! Not only was this place like a museum of rare Saga autoparts, its owner Khalid turned out to be the son of my good friend and fellow biker Fadil! He and I used to bike together a lot in the early- to mid-90's, and I had no idea his son owned Rare Autoparts in Subang Bestari U5, Shah Alam. Khalid himself is a great guy, and we spent the better part of 2hrs just chatting about old Sagas and parts that came with the car back in the 80s as well as aftermarket accessories that were made for the Saga way back when. I'm definitely heading back there someday, this time with more moolah, LOL!! SO yet again, as with the 'papan-lapik', my old car has enabled me to find a new awesome place, and make an awesome new friend. Just think, if it weren't for my 1985 Saga, I'd never have met Ijam who custom made my new boot-liner, or Khalid who got me some really good stuff for my car. Both are now my mates, how cool is that?
