Ingredient for Batter –
Soaked Split black gram (उरद की दाल ) – 250 gm
Water (पानी ) – 80 ml
Orange color (optional) -- 1 Tsp
Oil for deep fry (तेल तलने के लिए )
For syrup –
Sugar (शक्कर ) – 300 gm
Water (पानी ) – 500 ml
Lemon juice (निम्बू ) – 1 Tsp
Method (विधि ) –
1. In a saucepan add sugar into the water and put over a low flame.
2. Gently stir the sugar and water until most of the sugar has dissolved.
3. Add lemon juice to avoid crystallization and cook for 1 ½ minutes.
4. Turn off the flame and keep aside.
5. Wash and Grind the soaked split black gram by adding water and make a fine paste.
6. Add orange food colour in batter or you can avoid.
7. Take a sauce bottle and fill the batter into it and close the cap properly.
8. Heat the oil in a pan for deep fry.
9. When the oil is ready for deep fry make the Imarti as shown in the video.
10. Fry the imarti on both sides on low flame.
11. Take out the imarti and dip it in the sugar syrup until it absorbs properly.
12. Serve this Imarti when it is hot for best taste.
