External Respiration (बाह्य श्वसन) :--किसी भी Organism तथा Enviroment के बीच जो ऑक्सीजन तथा कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड गैस का आदान-प्रदान होता है उसे ही External Respiration (बाह्य श्वसन) कहते हैं | 2. Transportation of gases(गैसों का परिवहन) :-ऑक्सीजन का Lungs(फेफड़े) से शरीर के सभी Cell तक पहुंचना तथा कार्बन डाइऑक्साइड का Lungs(फेफड़े) तक पुनः वापस आने की Process को Transportation of gases (गैसों का शरीर में परिवहन) कहते हैं | 3.
