I just want to dance with you bossa nova cover. This is my tribute to John Prine who wrote the song along with with Roger Cook. Also recorded by American country singer George Strait and here in Ireland by Daniel O'Donnell and Mary Black. John Prine (October 10, 1946 – April 7, 2020) was an American country folk singer-songwriter. He was active as a composer, recording artist, and live performer from the early 1970s until his death, and was known for an often humorous style of original music that has elements of protest and social commentary. John Prine was married to a Donegal woman. He owned a house near Kinvara, in one of the most beautiful parts of this country. He would visit Galway in the summer and was famous for dropping into the trad session held every Monday evening in the summer in Green's pub in the coastal south Galway town.
