Today, we're going to look at what I believe to be one of the high points of the season and that is the seasonal mod offering of Warmind Cells. Warmind Cells are these orange balls that you might've seen while playing this season and they do quite a variety of things. Today, we'll finally take a look at them and figure out if they'll be worth your time. I'm sorry this video took so long, but the most important mod did not come out until 4 weeks into the season and making a video before then would've been irresponsible. Mod Breakdown: 1:37 Arc Mod Build: 4:25 Solar Mod Build: 6:34 Void Mod Build: 9:29 Main Problems: 10:46 Weapon Perk Rolls: 12:40 Minor Problems: 14:28 5% discount on ASTRO gear: http://www.astro.family/datto (works in all available regions) Save $50 dollars when you buy a pre-built PC from Evolve PCs when you use code DATTO at checkout: https://www.evolvepcs.gg Epic Games Store Creator Code: HelloDatto Need a good chair? @DattoDoesDestinyمنذ 4 سنوات my favorite part about making these kinds of videos is when the comments flood in telling me about painfully obvious things that i ended up missing or id="hidden1" class="buttons"> not discussing in the video. although this video is more meant to be an overview of the mods and how i think people would interact with them upon first learning about them or wanting to interact with them and less about chasing hyper-specific builds. ....وسعت 249

@erdizajmi222منذ 4 سنوات If anyone wants to know why Datto was creating warmind cells when shooting the boss with divinity at the end of the video it’s because it you have tyrant’s surge and someone on your team pops well, any damage you do inside the well with an arc weapon counts as arc damage, you can pair this with the power of Rasputin mod with gives you a 10% damage increase(yes it stacks with all other types of damage boost) and it’s a very low effort decent warmind cell build if you have global reach too. ....وسعت 221

@Igwanurمنذ 4 سنوات Hey, Just a quick reminder for Titans: picked up cells are treated as void melee abilities, meaning you can get your super in Like 4-5 Kills when you have doomfangs equipped and punch stuff with the cell 52

@Shawn-363منذ 4 سنوات I gotta give it to Bungie, they really knocked it out of the park with these mods. They also work so well with season of dawn mods. In crucible I’ve been picking up orbs of light and getting damage buffs out the ass. Charged with light mods from last season are an absolute wonder.
It’s crazy good. In PvE I play support and I’ve been making the whole team charged with light by picking up Warmind cells and the powerful friends mod from last season gives my fireteam free bonuses basically. I destroy the Warmind cells and it heals the team near majors & knocks back the adds. Perfect synergy.

@DoragonShinzuiمنذ 4 سنوات Something to note about the Arc Cell mods: If you mix the Shield mod, Melee mod, and Tyrant's Surge you've basically just. built an Insurmountable Skullfort. I've been having a blast with that on my Titan. 28

@edwardthetree8308منذ 4 سنوات I feel like a huge gamechanger for these mods would be if there was a weapon mod that you could equip to any weapon that would allow it to generate warmind cells, instead of getting an actual mod perk. 70

@zlllazarمنذ 4 سنوات Great video. Some minor points to add about void cell mods. The debuff of 10% is multiplicative and stacks with normal debuffs like tether tractor and id="hidden7" class="buttons"> divinity which makes it very valuable for endgame. It works like pre-nerf Divinity. the throwing cell mod may have bugs but it also let's you hold a cell for an infinite amount of time and when you throw it you reset the timer on the cell blowing up. so you can use a cell for suppression for 15-18 seconds pick it up carry it to new enemies and then use the same cell for another 20 seconds. it gives each cell tremendous value. ....وسعت

@MisterMan4Twonمنذ 4 سنوات I just use non-seraph weapons and abuse Tyrant's cell generation by playing Arc. Then I do void mods, you get the generation from Tyrant's and id="hidden8" class="buttons"> the powerful effects from void cells. Specifically:
    Tyrant's Surge
    Global Reach
    Power of Rasputin
    Rasputin's Protection
This way all you need is 2 void armor pieces and you are free to do whatever elements you want on other pieces. I just always insta pop the cells to clear rooms, but I leave cells up when bosses are around to get 10% dmg and (what seems to be) 50% DR.

@coreyhodges7419منذ 4 سنوات Just wanted to add a small bit of potentially useful info to this already fantastic video:
Seraph Submachine Gun with Firmly Planted has been surprisingly id="hidden9" class="buttons"> effective for me. Keep in mind, I am a console player, and almost exclusively play solo. I am slightly behind the power level of most players, currently hovering around 1005 which includes the artifact bonus of +10. When approaching more difficult content, I often find that the increased stability and accuracy allows me to adjust to a slightly safer distance whenever necessary, but most importantly, it’s tremendously useful when countering Overload and Barrier champions.
It did become less of a “go-to” weapon once I got a good roll on the Seraph Auto-Rifle, but is still something I equip when a bounty requires SMG or Arc kills.

@simon69cمنذ 4 سنوات Worth noting that the wrath solar mod not only allows weapons like sunshot and xenophage to create warmind cells, but if you are also using the rage mod id="hidden12" class="buttons"> then anything killed by a warmind explosion then has a chance to create a warmind cell too.
My solar build has mostly been around wrath/rage/medic and tyrant as I tend to run an exotic armor piece. As I think has already been mentioned, medic procs mid tree dongblade benevolent dawn and tyrants surge will also guarantee warmind cells are created when using any arc weapon from within a well of radiance.

@kenw4344منذ 4 سنوات Good video giving a basic overview. The warmind mods have been very fun to play with this season and have been clutch in nightfalls. They were also a lot id="hidden13" class="buttons"> more straightforward and easier to build around than last seasons mods. It does seem like the greatest benefit is gained not from the weapons but an arc build using tyrant surge. Will have to see if they are still viable in grandmaster or if switching off arc will be a must. Not sure how viable the warmind builds will be next season without tyrant surge if you have to rely solely on the guns to create cells. ....وسعت

@relz242منذ 4 سنوات I've had a good time with Tyrant's Surge and Arc Hunter with Shinobu's Vow. Then I have solar mods for the explosions. I really hope they keep exploring this type of stuff in the future.
  • @
@omegaxtrigunمنذ 4 سنوات I've really enjoyed them. The void ones in particular. All the debuffing and suppression is obviously really good. Though once I got tyrant's surge id="hidden15" class="buttons"> I switched to an arc melee build on my hunter with thunder coil. I love the liar's handshake/thunder coil/one two punch build and the cells are pretty nice with it. Using the damage taken increased/damage dealt reduced mods to debuff enemies making it easier to be up close, and if I need to clear a group I can blow up the cell.
Normally I have global reach to make those effects even better, but if an activity needs a certain combination of anti-champion effects I can swap it out for the stagger/overload on explosion as well. Really versatile, really fun.

@TheDeerInTheHeadlighمنذ 4 سنوات the most important thing to note that wasn't covered in-depth here is that with one of the solar mods, i think Rage of the Warmind? you can generate id="hidden16" class="buttons"> a warmind cell with solar explosion final blows. the obvious use for this is to chain warmind cell explosions but it also works with certain weapons, like solar grenade and rocket lauchers, and abilities like solar grenades and (possibly?) some throwing knives. it's a way to generate cells without locking yourself into using a seventh seraph weapon ....وسعت 1

@EpicEagle26منذ 4 سنوات The chain lightning mod gave me and my friends the most fun this season. We would use it during Reckoning runs on the bridge encounter and if you do it correctly, it chains forever on the thrall.

@TheSmurf1973منذ 4 سنوات The solar Warmind mods give you most bang for your buck bit it's the artifact Warmind mods that elevate the mods. Tyrants surge (with an arc subclass) id="hidden18" class="buttons"> and Hammer of the Warmind are a must for high level content.
My set up is Tyrants Surge, Hammer of the Warmind, Rage of the Warmind and Global Reach. It is highly effective in all content, especially any content containing Champions.

@Aj-py8enمنذ 4 سنوات Timed Payload on the handcannon is amazing.
It increases it's damage by 12% on headshots and 20% on body shots. All that for free.
It id="hidden21" class="buttons"> increases the damage at range. Really easy to hit shots too because it's a 180
AoE damage. Not a lot but when dealing with groups it can decrease the shots to kill for nearby enemies and stagger them too.
Works with overload rounds. The second shot will give you the buff instead of the third.

@meat2265منذ 4 سنوات Datto you did forget a season 10 that has some use in master(maybe grandmaster) content. Hammer of the warmind is the 2nd seasonal mod that gives the explosion id="hidden23" class="buttons"> of warmind cells to stun both overload and unstoppable champions. So in a sense you could have all 3 weapon mods for these types of contents and have more freedom to your weapon load out. An example of this could be Izzy(champion killer/dps), recluse(really any weapon that can run barrier), and seraph SAW lmg(could replace if you run tyrant surge). This my opinion on cells. ....وسعت

I've got a breachlight from season of Dawn with Demo Vorpal, and id="hidden26" class="buttons"> this thing shreds in high tier pve content. In a 1030 nightfall, with barrier piercing, it absolutely melts barrier shields, and having demo is excellent for trash mob clearing.

@Torguemadaمنذ 4 سنوات Personally im running Tyrant Surge, Hammer of the Warmind, Global Reach and Fire Team medic on a middle tree Arc Warlock. The build kicks some serious id="hidden27" class="buttons"> ass with Tyrant Surge giving me cells pretty much on-demand, meaning i can ignore rasputin weapons completely in favor better weapons. One really nice tactic is throwing a grenade in the middle of a big enemy group and airbursting the cell the moment it pops up from the enemy with a shot from Eriana's Vow instantly clearing all lower tier enemies in a quite a massive area and stopping both Overload and Unstoppable champions in their tracks. Grenade to spawn a cell followed by rocket to the face blowing the cell up is also pretty good damage against a champion. ....وسعت

@AdamTheRevJrمنذ 4 سنوات It feels like the cells are built around the seasonal mods rather than their own ecosystem. While strong in their ecosystem, Tyrant's Surge and Lightning id="hidden36" class="buttons"> Strike Twice change the mods from inconsistent to where I was able to solo a 1030 Broodhold Nightfall with relative ease due to how crazy powerful the seasonal mods make the Warmind Cells. (All because you can solo doesn't mean you should. Obvi infinitely easier with teammates)
Here's my build if yall wanna try it yourself:
Top tree Striker. Pulse Nades and Towering Barricade
Tyrant's Surge, Lightning Strikes Twice, Hammer of the Warmind, Global Reach
Weapons were Mountaintop, Eriana's Vow, and a sword with Disrupting Blade although a few runs with Delirium went fine too. GL and HC Ammo Finders. HC and Special Ammo Scavs. GL reload.

@randomguy444منذ 4 سنوات I can't remember who said it, but apparently the solar splash damage mod is a real dark horse. It gives you a chance to generate cells with stuff like id="hidden40" class="buttons"> Sunshot, OTV, and solar abilities.
That aside, to me it feels like these mods are most useful in the activities that came with the season. Bunkers, legendary Lost Sectors, Seraph Tower. Running cells in those encounters makes all of them go more smoothly. Are those activities challenging in the first place? Not once you're at level. And once the season is over, all of those things will go away. After that, cell builds will probably be super niche. It's just a dash of flavor instead of adding a new layer to combat that was built to last. I think it's my favorite dash of flavor so far, though, as far as these seasonal mods go.

@adummy9664منذ 4 سنوات IMO you don't need to build your entire weapon loadout around spawning cells, I think just having one gun for clearing adds gets the job done just id="hidden50" class="buttons"> fine and then just have your other weapons for whatever else you need. (I feel like the SMG with AA+FF does the job really well.)
Also spawning cells isn't random, it's after 7 minor enemies, 4 majors, or 1 boss. (And I think weak swarm enemies like Thralls take 11 or something.)
What causes it to feel random is it only counts YOUR final blows, so if you have other people killing enemies it reduces how many cells spawn compared to when you're killing everything yourself.
And I feel like you sort of glazed over the mod that spawns cells from Solar splash damage, as that lets you spawn cells from stuff like Solar class grenades as well as some Solar weapons like Xenophage.
Also as a note I didn't find getting armor for the mods that hard either, mostly because the season pass armor from both last season and this season directly gave us +60 stat armor, with the Saint armor from last season being Void by default and the Seraph armor from this season being Solar by default, so there's your Void and Solar cell builds right there already.
I know this doesn't apply as much for people who didn't keep up with the Season Pass, but you mentioned at that acquiring good armor being a downside of trying to get a cell build going, when it's quite possible people already have the armor they'd need without really needing to give up on decent stats.

@theRainyMuteمنذ 4 سنوات try wrath of rasputin with xenophage, since xenophage does exclusively blast damage it generally guarantees a cell, personally im using fireteam medic, id="hidden54" class="buttons"> global reach, grasp of the warmind, wrath of rasputin and im trying to fit the one that makes them do solar explosions since that can (did my own testing and its pretty iffy on its chance) create a new cell ....وسعت

@rbrittمنذ 4 سنوات You’re really underselling these weapons

@underscore_5450منذ 4 سنوات The main build I run is a combo of charged with light and warmind cells. These seasonal mods are the only things keeping me in the game, that and my friends.

@SahZoomمنذ 4 سنوات I think you forgot to look at a hunter build with the arc mods - way of the warrior arc strider with either assassins cowl or liars handshake. Pretty mush id="hidden56" class="buttons"> the best build over anything in this video - literally allows you to solo master nightfalls with ease ....وسعت

@smugloli5475منذ 4 سنوات You can somewhat negate the weapon issue if you have tyrants surge and are standing in a well with an arc weapon

@randybrown8780العام الماضي No clue why I got this recommended to me in 2023 with Lightfall now out. Rip warmind cells. I already miss them. 1

@thegreatersea4634منذ 4 سنوات I love it when I get cells, but we really need more non-artifact mod ways to generate them. That Fireteam Medic mod would be a huge boon to my Riskrunner id="hidden57" class="buttons"> build, but without swapping to my kinetic weapon (which would involve running two primary weapons) or using up heavy ammo I don't have any way of getting cells on the field. Here's hoping we'll get those methods starting next season. ....وسعت

@anonymousdoggo8982منذ 4 سنوات That sidearm is great for crucible if it has the right roll. I have one with full auto and vorpal and it shreds

@ReggieBaileyمنذ 4 سنوات Hey Datto.what site were u using when talking about the weapon rolls? That layout is waaaaay better then gg.light.

@monkeyrobotottoمنذ 4 سنوات my biggest issue with blessing of rasputin is that it takes 5 kills to red and orange bars to spawn an orb, all blessing does is count as one kill, so you only need 4 to spawn one.
  • @
@insomniaddictespمنذ 4 سنوات I like using tyrants surge, global reach, and the heal on explosion, since, on console the cell has no aim assist, and I have thrown an orb at adds and id="hidden59" class="buttons"> been dragged to their head instead, and the orb just falls to the ground and dissolves. If I heal on explosion I can take a little damage and try to peak and one hit the ball with Eriana's Vow. ....وسعت
