Ghana Inaugurates 2nd Largest 4-Tier Interchange In Africa – The Pokuase Interchange Project. West Africa's largest interchange has been commissioned by the Ghanaian president, Akuffo Addo. The four-tier exchange isn’t just the first of its class in Ghana and West Africa, but also the second in Africa. The inaugural event for the $98.4 million interchange was held this week, According to Ghanaian President, the completion of the interchange, which will help solve, once and for all, the nightmare endured for several decades by commuters within and outside the vicinity of Pokuase, was completed in thirty-six (36) months, albeit in the midst of Covid pandemic. The President told the audience that the original contract design was for a three-tier interchange, but that thanks to his government's effective management, the Interchange was upgraded to a four-tier structure for the same contract price.
