STUNNING RIO CELESTE IN COSTA RICA

Rio Celeste in Costa Rica is famous for its breathtaking blue water. We were so excited to see the amazing water for ourselves. After finally making it to Costa Rica, we picked up our rental car and drove north to Rio Celeste. The drive took us around 3 1/2 hours. Once we arrived, we checked into our Airbnb. The accommodation was so unique because it was in the shape of an egg. It was also in a prime location right on the Rio Celeste and only a short drive to the Tenorio Volcano National Park. We were so excited to walk down to the river to see the blue water. The next morning, we had a delicious breakfast at the Airbnb. After packing up, we headed to Tenorio Volcano National Park. We chose to rent mud boots right outside of the park entrance because it was rainy and we didn't want our sandals to get muddy. These are the items of interest when visiting Rio Celeste: -Rio Celeste Waterfall -Laguna Azul (blue water lagoon) -Los Borbollones (gases from the volcano bubble up through the water in this area) -El Teñidero (area where two rivers meet) The entire hike is 3.7 miles round trip. It took us around 4 hours to complete it. The weather was constantly changing throughout our hike. We brought rain jackets and had to use them a few times. After the hike, we went across the street to a soda (local restaurant) to have lunch.
